Utah Sports Action is pleased to announce the athlete of the week from February 15th through the 20th.
McKay LaSalle, Jr., Bountiful High
LaSalle is a scorer period. He can knock down deep 3-pointers with defenders in his face as well as get to the bucket at will. Opponents find out quick that he can shoot, so they try to play him tight. When that happens he either gets to the basket or finds the open man. Last Tuesday against East LaSalle had 17 points and 3 3-pointers. When Bountiful faced Tooele on the 19th LaSalle went off for 28 points and 5 3-pointers.
After 21 games this season LaSalle has scored 340 points an average of 16.19 per. game. He's also knocked down 71 3-pointers that's 2.05 per. game. For his career at Bountiful he has scored 367 points 8.53 a game and 77 3-pointers 1.79 per. game. If you haven't seen him play yet he still has one more year at Bountiful so get to a Bountiful game and watch him go to work...
