Week 2 Athletes of the Week
Utah Sports Action is pleased to announce the athletes of the week. We had such a hard time deciding between Bingham junior running back Harvey Langi and Jordan’s senior quarterback Alex Hart that we decided to name them both players of the week. They both had outstanding games and willed their teams to victory.
Langi, a 6’2” 220-pound back, willed his team to victory Friday night in a thrilling come from behind win over rival Alta 38-34. Not only did he rush for 189 yards on 22 attempts and a td, but he had 111 receiving yards and a 73 yard touchdown reception.
It’s not to often you see a junior running back lead his team to victory the way he did against Alta. This big bruising running back also runs a 4.4 40 yard sprint. Harvey has a bright future ahead of him at Bingham and the next level. And remember he is only a junior. He already has interest from BYU, Florida, Oregon, Texas, and USC.
Season stats from week 2:
40 rushing attempts
278 yards
6.95 yards per. Carry
5 receptions
134 yards
1 rushing Td.
1 reception Td.
Hart, a 6’3” 185 pound quarterback, put up amazing numbers Friday night against Layton. Hart completed 24 of 35 passes for 479 yards and 6 touchdowns. His first pass was a 65 yard bomb to receiver Cory Hunt. His performance against Layton is pretty much unheard of. Hart, has interest from Colorado, Colorado State, Idaho State, Utah State and Wyoming.
Season stats from week 2:
52 completions
76 attempts
954 passing yards
477 passing yards per. Game
.684 completion %
9 touchdown passes
1 Interception
Longest pass 92 yards.
Congratulations to both Alex Hart and Harvey Langi on outstanding performances. We look forward to seeing the both of you perform the rest of the season.

Great article
I personally think Harvey Langi is the best running back in the state and I wouldn't be surprised to see him play at USC. I consider Alex Hart to be one of the best quarterbacks in the state. He has the height the arm strength but needs to put on some weight. I would really like to see him go to a great school that produces great players like Boise State. They could use him after Kellen Moore is gone. GO BRONCO'S.
BSU
I completely agree with the posting above. Boise State has a history of producing great players. I think Alex Hart would do well at schools like Utah and BYU, but were talking record breaking potential at BSU.
