Week 7 Athletes of the Week
Utah Sports Action is pleased to announce the Week 7 Athletes of the Week. We had two football players that we picked this week not only because their teams won but how their performance lead their team to victory.
Unufe had a great game for Provo as he willed his team to victory over Ogden 27-21. On the night he had one rushing touchdown (43 yards) one receiving touchdown (32 yards) and a game winning interception returned 30 yards for the touchdown. To have a game winning interception returned for a touchdown is something Maka will never forget. Provo now 6-1 plays at home against Mountain View Thursday the 8th at 7:00 p.m.
Bunting had a huge game Wednesday night as Layton beat Roy 42-7. He had 3 touchdowns and 253 yards rushing. On the season he has carried the ball 149 times for 1,192 yards and 7 touchdowns. He is averaging 8 yards a carry and 170.2 yards a game. With averages like that it would be hard for any coach not to give him the ball on every down. Layton now 2-5 plays Clearfield at home Friday the 9th and 7:00.
