2012 drill team championships: 5A team final results

Orem- Utah Valley University hosted the 5A 2012 drill team championships. Just like the year before the Lady Miners took home another 5A championship.

The Utah state drill team championships were held at Utah Valley University. Last year Bountiful took home the 4A overall title.

Taylorsville- Weber coming off it's first loss of the season overwhelmed Kearns, 48-62. The Warriors improved their record to 6-1.

Taylorsville- The Westlake Thunder have started slow this season, with a 3-4 record.

High school basketball: Davis hangs on against Arizona's Mountain View

Orem- The Davis Darts showed that they can play with the Mountain View Toros, the defending 5A Arizona state champions. Davis defeated Mountain View, 63-56.

Orem- The West Jordan Jaguars had a easy time in their first game of Great Western Shootout.

Holladay- The Intermountain Christians Lions had lost the previous game to Altamont by one point, 49-50.

High school boys' basketball: Juan Diego gets it done against East

Salt Lake City- Juan Diego coming off of two straight losses improved their record last night. The Soaring Eagles led wire-to-wire as they defeated the East Leopards, 51-61.

Sandy- The Northridge Knights have lost the first three games of the season. They did not play like a 0-3 team last night.
