Springville's football team in mourning after the passing of teammate Brandon Curtis
By Alex Markham
Springville-While most high school football teams in the state are establishing their depth chart with high hopes for the upcoming season, the Springville Red Devils suddenly have more important things on their mind.
Following an unfortunate incident in the school parking lot on Tuesday in which a student's Jeep lost control and landed on it's side, four Springville football players were injured and one football player's injuries proved to be fatal. Zach Puckett and Kaleb Cook were fortunate enough to escape with minor injuries while Estafon Ramos remains hospitalized but in good condition. Brandon Curtis, who was a Senior Linebacker and team leader, was less fortunate.
Curtis was rushed to the hospital where he was placed on life support in critical condition due the severe head trauma. Due to the severity of his injuries, Brandon Curtis passed away Wednesday afternoon.
Utah Sports Action would like to send our condolences to the Curtis family, as well as Scott Mitchell and the Springville football team.
