High School Girls Soccer: Colts Out Run The Warriors

Murray- Cottonwood started fast as just minutes into the game, Kirstine Admason (Cottonwood) put one into the back of the net.

"The first one was not a set play, she just took it up the side, and she just crossed it in," new head coach Angella Hamilton said of Admason.

From then on it was a boxing match as both teams had plenty of chances to score. The Warriors had most of the good looks in the first half, but goalie Miranda (Cottonwood) held the Warriors scoreless in the first half.

The second half was a mirror image of the first half, both teams exchanged goals. One by Brooke Evans (Cottonwood), a late goal in the closing minutes by Arica Pfeil (Taylorsville) to prevent the shutout.

"It feels great, the girls did great, they communicated well their starting to come together as a team," said Hamilton when asked how does it feel to get your first win.

Cottonwood finish 8-6-2 last year, and lost to Viewmont in a play-in game. Taylorsville meanwhile finished 6-8-2, and hope to make the playoffs this year.
